This half-hour documentary provides insights
into Armstrong's personal relationship with the land through
his paintings. The camera follows on his journey throughout the
American landscape as he records, with paint and canvas, the
beauty and serenity of our land. The film also echoes a secondary
theme: the fragility of the environment. Shot on location at
the artist's farm near Unityville, Pennsylvania, and in the mountains
of Connecticut and along the sea coast of Maine. The film also
features coverage of an Armstrong exhibit at the Hammer Galleries
in New York City.
